Process: Search for and evaluate adoptive families

During a permanency CFTM CFTM stands for Child and Family Team Meeting. This team is built by DCS to make plans, decisions and recommendations toward achievement of permanency for the children involved., the participants consider the families who are potential matches for the child. Record information about adoptive families considered as follows:

1. From the Family Consideration Process screen , click the select link for the adoptive child you want to update. The Family Consideration screen Permanency CFTM CFTM stands for Child and Family Team Meeting. This team is built by DCS to make plans, decisions and recommendations toward achievement of permanency for the children involved. tab screen appears.

2. Click the Families Considered tab. This screen shows the families who were automatically selected through the matching process.

3. Click the select link next to the family you want to update. The Family/Resource Details screen appears.

4. Record the appropriate information and click OK. You are returned to the Families Considered tab.

5. (Optional) Add a new family to the list.  

   a.	Click Add Family. The Family Resource Details screen appears.
   b.	Click Resource Search to find and select the family you want to add to the case.
   c.	Click Save to return to the Family Resource Details screen.
   d.	Record the appropriate information and click Save to return to the Families Considered tab.

6. (Optional) Click the [resource name] link to view information about the resource in the list.
