View or print a confidential court report

Before an adoption is finalized, a worker evaluates the adoptive family and adoptive children and produces the confidential court information report, which is filed with the court at least 20 days before the finalization hearing. This report may include more than one child, but only if the children in the same adoptive placement home are being adopted together.

Once a confidential court information report has been saved for a child, a new court record may not be created for that child, unless the child’s existing adoptive placement has been end-dated and a new placement record is created.
