Enter family strengths and needs

Process: Record an FFA narrative

Follow these steps to enter family strengths and needs Needs (formerly referred to as Concerns) are behaviors and risks displayed by the child or family. This should include the reasons for DCS involvement with the family/child..

1. On the FFA Family Functional Assessment tab, click the Strengths and Needs Needs (formerly referred to as Concerns) are behaviors and risks displayed by the child or family. This should include the reasons for DCS involvement with the family/child. link.  

2. Click next to Family Significant Strengths to view the current information for the family.

   1. Click Add Narrative to enter new information for a participant. The Narrative Details screen appears. Enter the description and select the participant in the Participant field. Click Save. You are returned to the assessment screen.

   2. Click the select link to view or update the narrative for a participant.   

   3. Click a link in the Source column to view details from another assessment or pre-dispositional history.

3. Click next to Historic Family Significant Strengths to view resource information older than one year.

4. Click next to Family Significant Needs Needs (formerly referred to as Concerns) are behaviors and risks displayed by the child or family. This should include the reasons for DCS involvement with the family/child./Risk/Concerns to view the current risk information for the family. Repeat steps a – c above for the family needs Needs (formerly referred to as Concerns) are behaviors and risks displayed by the child or family. This should include the reasons for DCS involvement with the family/child., risks, and concerns.  

5. Click Apply.
