Finalization/Case Closure
This screen
is used to navigate to begin entry of, or display, the child’s adoption
information and finalization checklist. From
this screen, each child’s adoption finalization information will be documented,
the adoptive information will be restricted and then the case can be closed.
Adoption cases are
included in AFCARS reporting for the time period when the case is active
through finalization and closure. Closed adoption cases are restricted
and may only be viewed by workers with the necessary user security groups.
Add Adoption Finalization Informationthe
adoption/closure information for each child in the case must be entered
individually by clicking the drop-down to select a child to work
with. Select one of
the children then click OK
in order to complete the Adoption information for that child.
Adoption
Information Completedwill
have no information displayed in the column if the Adoption Finalization
Information has not been started. If
in progress, but not completed there will be a No in this column. Once, the information
is completed the column will display Yes.
Finalization
Checklist Completedwill
have no information displayed in the column if the Adoption Finalization
Checklist has not been started. If
in progress, but not completed there will be a No in this column. Once, the information
is completed the column will display Yes.
Approval/Restrict
Recordlink
will display once both the Adoption Information and the Finalization Checklist
are completed an Approval/Restrict record link will become available. All cases closed with
a reason of Adoption must be restricted prior to closure of the Adoption
case.

Validate Adoption Case Closureclick this link once the
case is ready to be closed. If there are items
that are not completed that will prevent closure of the case they will
be listed here. If there are no
unresolved items a message will state that the case may be submitted for
approval to close.
