Client Benefit Account Details
On this screen you view, record, or update a child's benefit account. The system allows you to record when a benefit application was submitted and when benefit payments are approved, rejected, or closed. On this screen you can also record the expected benefit payment amount. These benefits are used to offset the cost of the child’s care during the benefit payment date range. You can record specific payment transactions for this account from this screen.
A child benefit adjustment automatically causes a reimbursement adjustment if the child is IV-E reimbursable. A child benefit is considered an adjustment when:
A benefit that can be used to offset claims is added for a child who receives a IV-E-reimbursable service pertaining to a benefit period that has already been disbursed.
The benefit amount or date is changed on a benefit record and the amount can be used to offset claims for a child with a payment pertaining to a IV-E-reimbursable service, and the benefit period has already been disbursed.
