Adoption Assistance Subsidy screen

This screen allows you to view, add, or update information on a request for IV-E Adoption Assistance (AA).

The Special Needs Criteria link displays a screen on which you select the needs that apply to the adoptive child. These needs then appear on this screen. The Eligibility Requirements link opens a screen on which you indicate the child's qualifications and information for ADC relatedness.

The Determine Eligibility button instructs the system to determine whether the child is eligible. Once this process has been run, the system displays the eligibility decision above this button. When the system determines a child's eligibility, it checks to see that certain criteria are met.

Payments under this type of subsidy are managed in the system as a recurring payment under the service authorization process.

Fields on this screen

Application Received Date	Enter the date the agency received the family's application for IV-E Adoption Assistance. Use the format MM/DD/YYYY. This field is required.
Home Study Date	If the parent(s) is a non-ODJFS (out-of-state) provider, enter the date on which the parent's home study was approved. Use the format MM/DD/YYYY. This field is required. The system automatically fills in this date for an ODJFS adoptive care provider.
AA Adoption Assistance Agreement Date	Enter the date on which the IV-E Adoption Assistance agreement was completed. This field is enabled when the system determines that the child is eligible for the subsidy.
Subsidy Effective Date	If the child is eligible for the subsidy, enter the date on which the subsidy goes into effect. This field is enabled when the system determines that the child is eligible for the subsidy.
