Immediate Protection Agreement An agreement between Parent/Caretakers and DCS created when a parent/caretaker’s access to the child needs to be limited due to concerns for the safety of the child.

This screen displays the IPAs for the selected case. An IPA Individual Protection Agreement is required when the family cannot manage the current safety threats, and safety interventions must be implemented. An IPA Individual Protection Agreement is recorded for a specific safety assessment that has been entered for a case. An IPA Individual Protection Agreement can be discontinued when the family has stabilized and issues in the linked safety assessment are resolved.

Click report to print the safety plan or a safety plan termination letter.

Click discontinue to end an IPA Individual Protection Agreement.  

Click delete to remove an IPA Individual Protection Agreement from the case.

Click document to scan documents for the IPA Individual Protection Agreement.

Click Add IPA Individual Protection Agreement to recorded a new IPA Individual Protection Agreement for the case.

**IMPORTANT NOTE:  IPAs can no longer be added  from this screen.  IPA Individual Protection Agreement information is now documented on the Person record and not on the family case.  Navigate to the Person Home Page of the child concerning The Child Concerning is the child who is the subject of a permanency goal. See "Person Concerning"..  In Quick Actions Quick Actions refers to the ability to quickly document an activity from the Person Home Page. Quick Actions can be selected from a drop-down list on the Person Home Page. In Phase 1, activities that can be 'quickly' documented without requiring navigation into case modules are: CFTM (Schedule, Reschedule, Cancel, Hold), Add/Delete Collateral Contacts, Add/Delete Consultations, Add/Delete External Assessments, and Add/Delete IPA. drop-down, select Add IPA Individual Protection Agreement.
