Complete the appropriate budget worksheet

Process: Determine eligibility for IV-E Foster Care Maintenance

In various budget worksheets you record information about the family's situation.

Follow these steps to compete the applicable budgets worksheets.

1. On the Requirements 7 to 9 tab, click to expand the Worksheets list.

2. Click a link below to complete the budget worksheet that applies to this child's family.

   • Alien Sponsor

     a.	Click the Alien Sponsor Income link. The Alien Parent(s) with Sponsor Income Budget Worksheet screen appears.
     b.	Complete the Name of Sponsor and Gross monthly income for the sponsor.
     c.	Complete the sponsor's spouse data, if appropriate.
     d.	Click Calculate. The system calculates the gross unearned income amount to be used in this eligibility determination.
     e.	If the calculation appears to be wrong, revise the details in the worksheet and click Calculate again.
     f.	If the calculation appears to be correct, click Save. You are returned to the Requirements 7 to 9 tab.

      

   • IPV

     a.	Click the IPV link. The Intentional Program Violation (IPV) Budget Worksheet screen appears.
     b.	Select the name of at least one of the program violators.
     c.	Click Maintain Person Financial Information to record or update financial details. Save the details and return to the worksheet.
     d.	Click Calculate. The system calculates the gross unearned income amount to be used in the eligibility determination.
     e.	Click Save. You are returned to the Requirements 7 to 9 tab.

      

   • Minor parent living with parent(s)

     a.	Click the Minor Parent Living with Parent(s) link. The Minor Parent Living with Parent(s) Budget Worksheet screen appears.
     b.	Select the name of at least one of the minor parents.
     c.	Click Maintain Person Financial Information to record or update financial details. Save the details and return to the worksheet.
     d.	Complete additional required information in the worksheet.
     e.	Click Calculate. The system calculates the gross unearned income amount to be used in the eligibility determination.
     f.	Click Save. You are returned to the Requirements 7 to 9 tab.

      

   • Stepparent  

     a.	Click the Stepparent link. The Stepparent Budget Worksheet screen appears.
     b.	Select the name of the stepparent.
     c.	Click Maintain Person Financial Information to record or update financial details. Save the details and return to the worksheet.
     d.	Complete additional required information in the worksheet.
     e.	Click Calculate. The system calculates the gross unearned income amount to be used in the eligibility determination.
     f.	Click Save. You are returned to the Requirements 7 to 9 tab.

      

   • Undocumented alien  

     a.	Click the Undocumented Alien link. The Undocumented Alien Parent Budget Worksheet screen appears.
     b.	Select the name of at least one undocumented alien parent.
     c.	Click Maintain Person Financial Information to record or update financial details. Save the details and return to the worksheet.
     d.	Complete additional required information in the worksheet.
     e.	Click Calculate. The system calculates the gross unearned income amount to be used in the eligibility determination.
     f.	Click Save. You are returned to the Requirements 7 to 9 tab.

      

3. After you completed the appropriate budget worksheet and click Calculate, the system completes the Need Standard Summary details.

4. Click to expand the Need Standard Summary details to review the system's calculations.

5. Click Save.

6. Click Next Task> below to continue.
