Cancel a person merge or unmerge action before batch process occurs

Follow these steps to cancel a merge or unmerge action before the batch process completes.

  1. Click the search header link. The Person Search screen appears.

  2. Enter the search criteria for the person record and click Search. The matching person records appear in the Person Search Results area.

  3. Click the [person ID] link for the person record you want to unmerge. The Person Overview screen appears.

  4. Click Merge History in the link menu. The Merge History screen appears. This screen displays all the person records that have been merged into the person you selected in step 2.

  5. Note the status in the Merge Status column. If the record is set to "Pending Merge" or "Pending Unmerge" the action either has not started or the action failed during the batch process.

  6. Click the cancel link to cancel the action.

  7. In the confirmation message, click OK to continue with the cancellation. You are returned to the Person Overview screen.
