Send a broadcast message
A broadcast message conveys important information for system users. A message can be designated as critical that needs immediate attention. Broadcast messages are created by State or County system administrators and appear in the worker's TFACTS desktop.
State system administrator can select the recipients of a message. Potential recipients include:
Central Office users
DCS users
Non-DCS users
Critical - to all users
Organization system administrators can create and send messages only to the users in their own organization.
Send a broadcast message as follows:
From the Home screen, click Administration > Maintenance. The Team Search Criteria screen appears.
Click Broadcast Message in the link menu. The Broadcast Message Search screen appears.
Select the organization to which the message applies, then click Search. Matching messages appear in the search results.
Click the select link to update an existing message or click Add Broadcast Message to record a new message. The Broadcast Message Details screen appears.
Enter the Start Date and Start Time for when you want to send this message.
Enter the End Date and End Time for when you want the message to stop being sent.
In the Message field, enter the text of the message.
If you are a State system administrator, select the recipients of this message. The recipient options are not available to organization system administrators.
Click Save. You are returned to the Broadcast Message Search screen.
The system will send the message to the workers on the date and time you specified. The message will be repeated at nightly intervals until the end date and time you specified.
