Record a FAST assessment
The FAST assessment helps the Department identify family strengths and needs and provide service in non-custody cases. A FAST should be initiated within 30 days of the CPS intake referral or FSW case assignment date and the FAST must be finalized within five business days of starting the assessment.
Process Overview
Follow these steps to record a FAST assessment.
From the Home screen, click the Case tab. The Case Search screen appears.
Enter the case ID number link for the case you want to view. Either the Ongoing or Investigation Case Overview screen appears.
On the Ongoing Case Overview screen, click the Non-Custody link then click the Assessment History link. The Assessment History screen appears.
On the Investigation Overview screen, click Investigation Topics, then click Assessments. The Assessment History screen appears.
Select FAST in the Assessment Type field and click Add. The Add Assessment screen appears.
Click an intake ID link if you need to view details for an intake.
Click Link Intake to link an intake to this assessment.
Click Apply.
Click the link in the next step or Next Task> below to continue.
