Invalidate a court action record

If a legal action was created in error, you can invalidate it. You do this by indication it was created in error on the details screen for the record.

Note

You cannot invalidate a record that has been saved with the file stamp date or journalized date.      

Follow these steps to invalidate a court action record.

  1. From the Home Workload screen, select an Ongoing case. The Case Overview screen appears.

  2. Click Court in the link menu. The Case Members Legal History screen appears.

  3. Click the Case Court Actions link at the top of the screen. The Case Court Actions screen appears.

  4. Enter search criteria to find the existing court action and click Search. The matching court actions appear in the results grid.

  5. Click the select link for the record you want to update. The details screen for that record appears.

  6. Select the Marked in Error check box at the bottom of the screen.

  7. Click Save. You are returned to the Case Court Actions screen.
