Match Score Information
This screen displays the scoring information and exception factors for a resource when you are searching for a placement for a child. This screen also shows the Placement Exception Request (PER) factors that would be need to be approved for placement at a resource. PERs are requests to exceed or waive DCS placement standards and policies in an effort to maintain sibling bonds, caregiver bonds, and to meet medical, emotional, and psychological needs of the children in care.
The results of the placement match will be "Yes" if a match occurred for a specific child characteristic compared to a related resource characteristic, or "No" if a related resource characteristic match did not occur.
The match score represents a percentage of the number of the matching characteristics for a child that can be met by the resource. It is calculated by dividing the total number of matching factors included in the child placement matching process for the specific child by the number of matching factors resulting in a positive match to the appropriate resource placement preference.
