Add a commissary request to a personal trust account
While a youth is residing in a DCS group homes or Youth Development Centers, the youth can use funds in his or her personal trust account to purchase items from the commissary. In TFACTS you can record and maintain a history of the commissary purchase requests associated with a child’s personal trust account.
Follow these steps to add commissary requests to a personal trust account.
From the Home screen, click Financial > Personal Trust Accounts. The Personal Trust Account Search Criteria screen appears.
Click Person Search to select the child for whom you want to record or update a trust account. When you select the child, you are returned to the search criteria screen. The Personal Trust Account Search Results section appears at the bottom of the screen.
Click select for the desired account. The Personal Trust Account Details screen appears.
Under Commissary Requests, click Add Request. The Commissary Request Details screen appears.
Enter the details of the commissary request in the various fields of the screen. The following fields are required:
Request Date
Total Request Amount
In the Request Status list, select Rejected if the requested item exceeds the child's balance, or select Approved if the requested item is less than the child's balance.
If you rejected the request, enter the reason in the Description box.
Click Save.
