Record a personal trust account
While a youth is residing in a DCS group homes or Youth Development Center, he or she can earn money through an allowance or by employment. In TFACTS, you can record and maintain information about deposits, withdrawals, and available balances of the youth's personal trust account. The youth can make commissary purchases using funds from his or her account.
Follow these steps to record a personal trust account.
From the Home screen, click Financial > Personal Trust Accounts. The Personal Trust Account Search Criteria screen appears.
Click Person Search to select the child for whom you want to record or update a trust account. When you select the child, you are returned to the search criteria screen. The Personal Trust Account Search Results section appears at the bottom of the screen.
Click Add Account to record a new account. The Personal Trust Account Details screen appears.
Enter the personal trust account information into the fields of this screen. Required fields are:
Dorm
Personal Trust Account Type
Opening Date
Click Link Person to link a savings account co-signer to the personal trust account. Select the desired person. The system returns to the Personal Trust Account Details page with the previously selected person displayed in the Savings Account Co-signer field.
You may filter the transactions which display at the bottom of the screen by entering criteria in the fields in the Transactions area of the screen and clicking Apply.
Click Save. You are returned to the Personal Trust Account Search Criteria screen.
