Determine continuing eligibility for AA
A IV-E Adoption Assistance (AA ) subsidy is reviewed at least once a year to determine whether the child will continue to be eligible for the subsidy.
Follow these steps to determine continuing eligibility for AA .
From the Home screen, click Financial > Eligibility. The Child Selection screen appears.
Click Subsidy Determination in the link menu. The Subsidy Program screen appears.
Click Person Search to locate and select the child whose subsidy history you want to view. The system searches for the child's adoptive case first. If there is no adoptive case, the system searches for any case in which the child is a participant.
When you select the child from the search results, the system returns you to the Subsidy Program screen.
Click select for the record you want to modify. The Subsidy Review screen appears.
Complete the Form/Request Date Received field.
Check the applicable boxes next to the statements in the Continued Eligibility Qualifications area. Both statements must apply for the child to continue receiving the subsidy.
(Optional) If the child is more than 18 years of age, select the reasons for continuing the eligibility.
If you are recording any modifications to the subsidy, in addition to the redetermination, complete the fields under Actions.
Click Determine Eligibility. The system determines the child's eligibility and responds with a determination decision and date on the screen above this button.
Click Approval to submit the subsidy for approval.
Click Save to save the determination and return to the Subsidy Program screen.
