Record a modification to an AA agreement
The Department or family may request a change to an agreement for IV-E Adoption Assistance (AA ) after the subsidy has been approved. You cannot change the record of an existing subsidy, but you can use the review function to record a modification. You can record a modification at any time.
Follow these steps to record a modification to an AA agreement.
From the Home screen, click Financial > Eligibility. The Child Selection screen appears.
Click Subsidy Determination in the link menu. The Subsidy Program screen appears.
Click Link Person to locate and select the child whose subsidy history you want to view. The system searches for the child's adoptive case first. If there is no adoptive case, the system searches for any case in which the child is a participant.
When you select the child from the search results, the system returns you to the Subsidy Program screen.
Click select for the record you want to modify. The Subsidy Review screen appears.
If the modification is due to a request from the agency or family, complete the Form/Request Date Received field.
If the subsidy is being terminated, complete the Termination Mailed Date field.
If the modification is due to a State hearing, complete the State Hearing Requested Date field.
Select the applicable check boxes under Continued Eligibility Qualifications.
Complete the fields in the Actions area, as they apply to the request.
Click Determine Eligibility to determine whether the child still qualifies for the subsidy after the modification.
Click Approval to submit the subsidy for approval.
Click Save to save the determination and return to the Subsidy Program screen.
