Record an adoption or SPG subsidy appeal decision

When a child has been deemed ineligible for an adoption or SPG subsidy, the family may choose to submit an appeal. You record the results of this appeal in TFACTS.

Record an adoption subsidy appeal decision as follows:

1. From the Home screen, click Financial > Eligibility. The Child Selection screen appears.

2. Click Adoption Subsidy in the link menu. The Subsidy Program screen appears.

3. Click Person Search to select the child for whom you need to record the appeal. When you select the child, you are returned to the Subsidy Program screen with the associated subsidy and review records.

4. Click appeal for the adoption subsidy record that needs Needs (formerly referred to as Concerns) are behaviors and risks displayed by the child or family. This should include the reasons for DCS involvement with the family/child. the appeal. The Appeal History screen appears.

5. Click Add Appeal. The Appeal Decision Details screen appears.

6. Complete the fields on this screen. You must complete at least these fields:
   
   Appeal Date
   Appeal Decision
   Appeal Decision Date

7. Enter additional comments or other details as appropriate.

8. Click Save. You are returned to the Appeal History screen.

9. Click Close to return to the Subsidy Program screen.
