Recommend the track for a CPS intake

An intake worker uses the MRS Tracking Tool to determine the appropriate track that a CPS Intake should be assigned. A team leader then reviews the recommended track. If the team leader rejects the recommended track, he or she must select a different track and document the reason.

Follow these steps to use the MRS Tracking Tool to recommend a track for a CPS intake.

  1. On the Home screen, click the Intake tab. The CPS Intake Workload screen appears.

  2. Filter the intake results click the select link for the intake record you want to update. The CPS Intake screen appears.

  3. Click the Tracking Tool tab.

  4. Under Tracking Details, click the MRS Track Questionnaire link. The MRS Track Questionnaire screen appears.

  5. Answer each question on the questionnaire based on your work on the intake.

If you cannot answer all the questions now, click Apply and Close. The system saves the current answers and you can return to this questionnaire later to finish it.

  6. Select the answer for the first question, and then click Next Question.

  7. Answer the next question and click Next Question. Continue this process until you have answered all questions.

As you do this, the system is evaluating the answers and applying system rules to determine a track. If you use the Previous Question button to return to a prior question, and then change the answer, the system displays a message indicating the consequences of the change.

The system determines whether the answers provide sufficient data to determine a track. If the system has sufficient data, the system derives the track from the answers and displays ”COMPLETE” on the screen. The system also enters the derived track in the MRS Recommended Track field on the Tracking Tool tab.

  8. Click Close. You are returned to the Tracking Tool tab.

  9. Click Save. You are returned to the CPS Intake screen.
