Record the disposition of a home study

Process: Record a home study

The disposition reflects your final conclusions concerning the home study. Details include the disposition, approval date, and approved capacity. If the resource provider is denied or canceled, you must document the standing and the reason.

Follow these steps to record the disposition of the home study.

1. From the Home screen, click the Resource tab. The Resource Home Workload screen appears.

2. Click select for the resource home you want to update. The Resource Overview screen appears.

3. Click Home Study in the link menu. The Maintain Home Study History screen appears.

4. Click select for the home study record you want to review. The Home Study Topics screen appears.

5. In the Topics grid, click the Disposition link. The Home Study Disposition screen appears.

6. Select Yes or No to the questions about adoption assistance and the supervisory review program. If you select Yes to either question, enter an explanation in the text field below the question.

7. Under Disposition Information, select the disposition status and other details.

8. If you selected Closed or Denied in the Disposition field, you must also select the standing and reason.

9. Click Save. You are returned to the Home Study Topics screen.

10. Click Close to return to the Home Study History screen.
    
    If the disposition is resource home is "Approved" the resource home can receive child placements.
