Record sibling information for an adoption case

On the adoption case for a child, the system displays all siblings who were added to the case. You typically add siblings to a case when you initially create the adoption case. Siblings can be added later, as described in Add a child to an existing adoption case.

If necessary, you can record information about siblings who are not part of the adoption case. This action does not add the sibling person record to the case.

Record information for siblings not part of the case as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Case tab. The Case Workload screen appears.

  2. Click the case ID number link for the adoption case you want to update. The Case Overview screen appears.

  3. Under Case Actions, click View Member Details. The Adoption Case screen Members tab appears and shows each child in the adoption case.

  4. Click the Adoption Details to record sibling information for the adoptive child. The Adoption Details screen Recruitment tab appears.

  5. Click the Siblings tab.

  6. Click Add Sibling Information to add a sibling. The Sibling Details screen appears.

To update information for a listed sibling, click select for the sibling. The Sibling Details screen appears.

  7. Click Person Search to select a person for the record.

  8. In the Relationship list, select the relationship of this sibling to the adoptive child.

  9. If this sibling is being adopted as part of a sibling group, select the check box next to Include in Sibling Group.

  10. Click OK. You are returned to the Siblings tab.

  11. Click Save. You are returned to the Case Member Information screen.

  12. Click Close. You are returned to the Case Overview screen.
