Hearing

On this screen you record or update court hearing information concerning a child, family member, or other participant involved in a court action. Details include the docket number, hearing segments, children involved in the hearing, and any linked court actions.

Add Hearing Segment - Click this button to record the details of the hearing. A single hearing may span more than one day. The details of each day are entered as a "segment." You must enter at least one hearing segment.

Add Action - Click this button to link a court action to this hearing record. This button is available only when link court action is selected on the Case Court Actions page.

View Linked Actions - Click this link to launch the Linked Court Actions page that lists the linked court actions. This link is available only when link court action is selected on the Case Court Actions page.

Fields on this screen

Court Docket #	If you are linking this hearing record to another legal action, this field displays the court case number and the date it was last updated. If you are not linking this hearing record, enter the court case number.
Hearing Type	Select the type of hearing.
Date Order Filed With Court Clerk	Type or select the date when this hearing action was filed with the court clerk.
Case Members	Contains the children in the case. Click one or more names and click Add> to move them to the Hearing Concerning Children box.
Hearing Concerning Children	Contains the children in the case who are selected for this hearing. To remove any children, select one or more and click <Remove.
Marked in Error	Select this check box if this hearing record was created in error and you want to invalidate it. You cannot invalidate this record if another legal action is currently linked to it.
Link Court Action	Select the type of court action you want to link to this hearing. Click Add Action to link the court action. Click View Linked Actions to view the actions that have been linked.
