Record intake participant information
Process: Record a CPS intake
As part of the CPS intake , you identify the individuals involved in the referral and their roles. Participants include the alleged child victim and the alleged perpetrator.
Record an intake participant as follows:
Click the Participants tab on the intake screen. The Participants screen appears.
To add a participant, click Add Participant. The Participants-General screen appears.
If you want to search for the participant in the system, click the Search Participants tab. The Internal Search screen appears. Complete a search for the participant.
If you do not want to perform a search now, continue to step 4.
Click the General tab and enter custody details and roles for the participant.
Click the Demographics tab and enter race and language details for the participant.
Click the Address/Contact tab and enter address details for the participant.
The new participant appears on the Participants screen. An alleged perpetrator or alleged child victim link appears if you selected one of these roles for the participant.
If you have identified an alleged perpetrator, complete the alleged perpetrator details.
If you have identified an alleged child victim, complete details about the child.
On the Participants screen click Apply.
If necessary, select persons related to a participant.
Repeat the steps above to add another participant, if applicable.
Click Save.
Click Next Task> below to continue.
