Record additional intake details

Process: Record a CPS intake

Additional intake details may include third-party or law enforcement involvement, drug use, and disabled infant information.

Note

If you select the Third Party Involvement check box on this screen, the OHC/SIU (Out of Home Care/Special Investigation Unit) tab is enabled. You must complete information about the third party on the OHC/SIU tab.     

Enter additional intake details as follows:

  1. Click the Additional tab on the intake screen. The Additional Information screen appears.

  2. Check the Third Party Involvement box if law enforcement or a third party was involved in the referral. Also select the type of third party. This box indicates that abuse or neglect allegedly took place in an out-of-home setting at a provider facility, such as a group home, foster home, or day care center.

  3. Under Risk Factors, use the buttons to move the applicable risk factors to the Selected Items box.

  4. If you added "Positive Toxicology" to the Selected Items box, select the drug in the Drug Type field.

  5. Click Apply.

  6. Click Next Task> below to continue.
