Record intake allegations and setting

Process: Record a CPS intake

As part of a CPS intake, you describe the location where the alleged abuse or neglect took place and record information for law enforcement.

Record the intake allegations and setting as follows:

  1. Click the Allegations tab on the intake screen. The Allegation Setting screen appears.

  2. Select the location in the Setting Type field. If you select Own Home in the Setting Type field, the system fills in the primary address of the alleged child victim as identified on the Participants screen.

  3. Enter the address where the abuse or neglect allegedly took place.

  4. Enter the date and time of the alleged abuse or neglect in the Date of Abuse/Neglect and Time of Abuse/Neglect fields.

  5. Enter additional information in the Associated Reports and Additional Information field.

  6. Click the Details link under the Allegations tab. The Allegations Details screen appears.

  7. Add a new allegation, if necessary.

  8. Click Apply.

  9. Click Next Task> below to continue.
