Record out-of-home care information
Process: Record a CPS intake
The OHC/SIU (Out of Home Care/Special Investigation Unit) tab is enabled only when you select the Third Party Involvement check box on the Additional Information screen. This selection indicates that abuse or neglect allegedly took place in an out-of-home setting at a resource facility, such as a group home, resource home, or day care center. If this does not apply to your intake, click Next Task> below to continue.
When you complete an intake involving a provider facility, the system sends a notification to the workers who are responsible for that facility's provider record.
Record out-of-home care details as follows:
Click the OHC/SIU tab on the intake screen. The Out-of-Home Care Information screen appears.
Select the setting in the Out of Home Care Setting Type field.
Enter the number of children the alleged perpetrator has access to.
Describe the caretaker in the first narrative field, then name the children allegedly at risk from the perpetrator in the second narrative field.
Enter the details for the facility where the alleged abuse or neglect occurred.
Click Apply.
