Create a child and family team for a case or investigation

A Child and Family Team (CFT) helps DCS staff ensure that families and their support systems are engaged in the planning and decision making process throughout their relationship with the Department. The work of the CFT is an ongoing process to address the needs of the child and family.

Follow these steps to create a child and family team:

  1. On the Home Workload screen, expand and select an Ongoing (Family) Case. The Case Overview screen appears.

  2. In the left blue menu, click the CFTM link. The Child and Family Team List screen appears with all case members and associated persons listed who have an active status in case.

  3. Click the Add Member button to add members to the team.

  4. Click the remove link to remove a person from the child and family team, if necessary.

  5. Click the select link to edit the role or relationship details for a person in team, if necessary.

  6. Click the Close button when finished. The Case Overview screen appears.
