Record a recruitment plan and activities
Once each year, organizations must submit their recruitment plan to the Department. A recruitment plan describes the activities an organization will perform to recruit foster and adoptive families. The recruitment efforts help ensure that effective strategies are in place to meet adoption and foster care placement needs of children served by the counties. The system uses the information you enter for statistical reporting.
Your organization may use recruitment plans for specialized efforts, like finding homes for children who might be hard to place or adopt. Recruitment plans with type ”Other” are approved at the organization level and are not forwarded to the State for approval.
To save time, you can copy a plan created by your organization or another one, then customize it for the current-year plans at your organization.
Record a recruitment plan and the associated activities as follows:
From the Home screen, click Resources > Recruitment. The Recruitment Plans screen appears.
Enter the filter criteria. You can view all recruitment plans for an organization, or narrow your view to plans by type, date, and other criteria.
Click Filter. The recruitment plans that meet your criteria appear in the results list.
To update an existing plan, click the select link for the plan you want to update.
To copy an existing plan to create a new one, click the copy link next the plan. All of the information from the original plan is filled in on the new plan record. You can change details as needed.
To record a new plan, click Add Plan. The Recruitment Plan Information screen appears.
Complete the fields to record basic information about the plan. You must complete at least these fields:
Plan Name
Plan Type
Effective Date
Expiration Date
Complete other details as needed.
Click Apply.
Under Recruitment Plan Detail, click the select link next to a topic. The Plan Detail screen appears. Describe the specific activities planned regarding this topic and click Save. You are returned to the Recruitment Plan Information screen.
Repeat step 10 for each topic, as it applies to this recruitment plan.
If you cannot complete all of the required topics now, click Save. You are returned to the Recruitment Plans screen.
If you have completed the information and want to submit the plan for approval, click Apply, and then click Submit for Approval. The system submits the recruitment plan to the approval supervisor for review.
