Record a safety audit for a home study

Process: Record a home study

The home study safety audit includes a lengthy series of statements relating to the safety of the person's home. For each statement, you indicate whether the statement is true and select the disposition.

Record the safety audit as follows:

1. From the Home Study Topics screen, click the Safety Audit link. The Safety Audit screen Home Safety Checklist tab appears.

2. Click next to Household Requirements.

3. For each requirement listed, indicate the resource's compliance.

4. Click next to Means of Communication.

5. For each item listed, indicate the resource's compliance.

6. Click Apply.

7. If you select No or Will Comply for any items, click the Home Safety Waiver tab.

8. In the Waiver Needed field, click Yes if the person wants to have the items waived or No if the person does not request a waiver.

9. Enter the explanation for the requested waiver or reason for non-compliance.

10. If you selected Yes in step 8, click Approval to submit the waiver request.

11. Click Save. You are returned to the Home Study Information screen.
