Initiate the adoption referral for AdoptUSKids

Process: Record an adoption case

The TFACTS system includes an interface with AdoptUSKids (AUK) national recruitment system to assist with the matching process. TFACTS will send a referral, pictures, and other data to the AUK system. AdoptUSKids will register the child and establish a web page for child. Before you initiate the referral make sure all key information is recorded.

Follow these steps to initiate the adoption referral to AdoptUSKids.

1. From the Home screen, click the Case tab. The Case Workload screen appears.

2. Select the case you want to update. The Case Overview screen appears.

3. Click View Member Details. The Members tab appears.

4. Click the Document link to scan and attach child's picture to the record.

5. Click AUK Narrative link. The Recruitment Activity Detail screen appears. The Category displays AdoptUS Kids Narrative.

6. Complete the details under Action.
   
   If you are registered with AdoptUS Kids, select your name in Responsible Person. If you are not registered, leave this box blank.

7. Complete the details for the contact person and enter additional notes, if appropriate.

8. Click Save. The Recruitment Activity tab appears.

9. Click Save. The Adoption Details screen Members tab appears.

10. Click Update Adopt US Kids. The system sends information to the AdoptUSKids organization. The AUK system will send back an AUK ID for the child and sibling information.

11. Click Next Task> below to continue.
