Submit a family permanency plan for approval

Process: Record a family permanency plan

After the required information for the family permanency plan is complete, you can submit the plan for approval to your Team Leader.

Follow these steps to submit the family permanency plan for approval.

  1. On the Permanency Plan Topics screen, click Approval. The Permanency Plan Approvals screen appears.

    Note:
    If the Family permanency plan is missing required information, the Permanency Plan Errors screen appears. This screen identifies the parts of the plan that need to be competed. The worker can click on the hyperlinks provided on the Permanency Plan Errors screen to go to the area where information needs to be added or corrected. Once all of the errors have been resolved, the user should select the approval button again to send the plan to the Team Leader to review and approve.

  2. In the Action list, select Route.

  3. Enter Comments, if appropriate.

  4. Select a Reviewer/Approver.

  5. Click Save. The system sends an alert to the Team Leader to review the family permanency plan. You are returned to the Permanency Plan Topics screen.

  6. Click Close. You are returned to the Permanency Plans list screen.

  7. If the family permanency plan is for a family with a child in state custody, you also need to enter the court ratification details.
