Unlink a resource from a case service

A resource may be linked to a case service as it is being set up. See Record case services for individuals or Record case services for member groups.

You can unlink the resource from a participant's case service record when:

If the service is in "Provided" status, or the resource is paid and a service authorization was recorded, you cannot unlink the resource. Instead, you must end the service.

If the service was assigned to a group of case participants, you must unlink the resource for each participant separately. You can also unlink the resource for certain participants and link a different resource.

Follow these steps to unlink a resource from a service.

  1. From the Home screen, click the Case tab. The Case Workload screen appears.

  2. Click the ID number link of the case you want to update. The Case Overview screen appears.

  3. Click Case Services in the link menu. The Case Services screen appears

  4. Click select for the service record you want to update. The Service Information screen appears.

  5. Under Resource Information, click unlink for the resource you want to unlink from the service.  

  6. In the confirmation message, click OK. The resource is removed from the case service record for this participant.

  7. Click Save. You are returned to the Case Services screen.

  8. If the service was provided for a group of case participants, repeat steps 4 – 7 to unlink the resource from those service records.
