Address Search

On this screen you search for address records in the system. To search for an address, you must enter at least the street number, street name, and either the city and state or the zip code.

The system checks the TFACTS database first. If it does not find the address in the database, the system searches against the address validation tool. Any search results appear in the bottom section of the screen. You can select an address from the search results to add it to a person record. If the address is not found, you can add the new address.

Fields on this screen

Street Number	Enter the street number for which you are searching.
Street Name	In the first field, select a prefix if this address has one. In the second field, enter the name of the street for which you are searching. Select any suffixes that apply to this address.
Unit Name	In the first field, select the type of unit. In the second field, enter the unit. You can enter up to eight characters.
Sounds Like	Click this box to check it and conduct a search for street names that sound similar to the one you entered.
City	Enter the name of the city. The system will search cities with similar sounding names.
State	Select the state.
Zip Code	Enter the five-digit zip code.
County	If the address is in Tennessee, select the county.
